Ingredients
- Ingredients for the dough
500 g 500 flour
250 g 250 butter
125 g 125 white sugar
125 g 125 brown sugar
250 g 250 ground almonds
2 2 whole eggs
1 1 grated lemon zest
1 teaspoon 1 cinnamon
- Ingredients for the frosting and decoration
1 1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon 1 milk
Preparation of the Schwowebredele
- Mix the softened butter, the sugar, the ground almonds, the eggs and the grated lemon zest and the cinnamon until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
- Pour the flour in rain and work again to have a dough of good consistency.
- Leave the dough to rest for 1 hour in the fridge.
- Roll out your dough (on a floured work surface) using a wooden rolling pin to a thickness of about 1/2 centimeter. Cut out various shapes with cookie cutters.
- Place them on a non-stick baking sheet lined with baking paper. Glaze them with the brush with the egg yolk/milk mixture and cook them for 10 to 15 minutes in a moderate oven (180° or Th 6).
- Watch the cooking carefully: your Schwowebredele should have a nice golden color when they come out of the oven.
